Prosecutors are asking a judge to revoke NBA YoungBoy’s probation in a 2016 drive by shooting and want him behind bars.
According to The Advocate, a baton rouge prosecutor is requesting the rapper’s probation to be revoked so he can serve his suspended 10 year prison sentence after he was arrested in Atlanta on February 11th. YoungBoy’s lawyer says his client did nothing wrong and there’s no reason to revoke his probation “An arrest is simply an allegation. Our position is he didn’t do anything wrong.”
YoungBoy’s probation emphasized that the rapper needs to avoid being arrested and convicted. April Leon, the assistant district attorney, says “It has become apparent to the State that the defendant has chosen to not abide by the conditions imposed by this Honorable Court.” NBA YoungBoy was arrested this month in Atlanta for disorderly conduct, use of fighting words, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. His attorney is confident all charges will be dismissed.
NBA YoungBoy’s probation review hearing will take place on May 17th.
